First of all, a patch has been released by the Producer of this game:

http://steamcommunity.com/games/373420/announcements/detail/55527102411860894

The above fix will fix this problem. But you can also try another steps below to fix it up!

We will give another fixing information for you to overcome the launch crash of Divinity: Original Sin Enhanced Edition game. Maybe the patch won't fix your game completely.

Here's that;

Follow the below steps :

 - Windows key + type "event viewer"
 - click on windows logs > applications > then find EoCApp.exe or the name of the game and give us the info in the description. It should say something like faulting module name or an error message.

If anyone is still having startup issues, try extracting this file into;

..\Documents\Larian Studios\Divinity Original Sin Enhanced Edition

https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/19240087/Larian/graphicSettings.zip

This sets default resolution to 1280x720 in windowed mode. You can then experiment with resolutions in the game.

Has anyone tried running the game in Compatibility mode?

1. Locate "EoCApp.exe" in "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Divinity Original Sin Enhanced Edition\Shipping"
2. Right-click the file and select "Properties"
3. Select the tab called "Compability"
4. Check "Run this program in compability mode for:" and select Windows 8, 7 or Vista SP2

Could you check if there is any non-essential software running in the background that could cause issues?

- anti-virus software
- firewall software
- nvidia shadowplayer or fraps or recording software

If they are running please turn off them to overcome this startup issue.

We will also create a tutorial video for this on Newslopedy.com. Please wait some time.

After doing all the above fix steps, our game is running perfect!...
