You won’t believe how many members has Apple Music reached in one month

Apple Music has 11 million members after one month

Apple Music is off to a good start.

The service has 11 million trial members one month after it was launched, Eddy Cue, Apple’s senior vice president of Internet software and services, told USA Today. “We’re thrilled with the numbers so far,” he said.

Cue also said that two million users chose the family plan, which covers six users and costs $14.99 per month. An individual subscription costs $9.99 a month.

Launched June 30, the music streaming service boasts a library with more than 30 million songs. It also includes curated online radio station Beats 1 and a social network called Connect.

One of Apple Music’s chief rivals, Spotify, had 20 million subscribers in June.

There’s an important difference, though: All Apple Music subscribers are still in a three-month trial period, and it’s safe to assume a portion of them will not convert to a full subscription after those three months.

Cue also told USA Today that Apple’s App Store had a record $1.7 billion in transactions in July, “with particular momentum in China.”
